POSITION SUMMARY:

The landscape construction Crew Lead is responsible for overseeing on-site aspects of landscape construction projects, including project execution, planning for labor and equipment requirements, material deliveries, and timing to ensure completion of job(s) within project deadlines. PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Develop and maintain the project cycle by aligning crews, clients, and the company.
  • Implement and maintain project scheduling from start to finish.
  • Review project files and provide oversight on production and material calculations.
  • Metric tracking, evaluation and reporting for all aspects of the project.
  • Communicate with clients, team members, and vendors throughout the project.
  • Understand job planners, order materials, and job timelines.
  • Schedule jobs by task, crew, and day while tracking to time and material budgets.
  • Follow flow chart for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Continuous personal improvement, training of crew members, promoting growth throughout the company.
  • Embrace the company values and mission statement and promote alignment with team members, clients, and company.

CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Proficiency with LMN Time software.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the landscape/construction industry.
  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds repeatedly and assist on job sites as necessary.
  • Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials.
  • Work outdoors in various conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold.
